Downhill trails that challenge the force of gravity
In Bormio (Alta Valtellina – Italy), summer has finally arrived. The warm temperatures of the last few weeks made the remaining snow quickly melt away. It is wonderful news for our gravity park which is about to open from July 1.
The summer season 2017 of the bike park is predicted as the best of all the time. There are several major news on the trail building side – already at work – which will turn upside-down the riding experience. Since the first DH trail, inaugurated in 2014 – many things have changed at the gravity park Bormio Bike: every year the research, the study and the evolution of our trails have constantly raised the bar of transformation.
Today we are proud to present a complete and equipped bike arena, able to satisfy the demands of pro and rookie riders.
The news of Bormio Bike 2017
The gravity park will present seven downhill trails which challenge the force of gravity.
The downhill trails are situated within an area among the peak (3,012 m) and the middle station of Bormio 2000 (1,950 m).
At different heights you will encounter various types of ground which will make the riding experience complete and therefore very much rewarding.
From the peak to 2,500 meters you are in a sort of lunar environment with a stony soil and no vegetation. Lowering yourself you start entering the woods and from a rough ground you get a more and more soft soil.
The big news of 2017 will integrate the complete picture of the gravity park.
- Two new downhill trails
- A black one – Hell Rocks – so called for its “hellish” location
- A red one (medium difficulty) – Autobahn – a very fast trail just like being on a German highway with no speed limit
- A jump area
Maximum adrenaline with jumps and transferts.
- A North Shore area
Drops and wooden obstacles for any kind of level.
